Altitude Changes
Beginning July 24, we will have a series of sermons based on biblical texts that all take place on a mountain. Typically we think of mountaintop experiences as times or places where we meet God—and certainly that happens in these texts—but there is more to it than that. There is the journey to the mountain, the preparation, the particularity of place. How does changing our altitude change our perspective on life? On God? On the world around us? And how might we let those changes in us begin to change the world?
During the series, look for opportunities to change your perspective by changing your place—we will have opportunities to worship in a different place and serve in a different place. We will also have stories and testimony from members about times they have been to a different place—to a mountaintop to meet God—and come back changed.
Maybe a change in altitude is just what you need!
