Beyond the City Limits

There is a need today for people to be more aware of different ways to connect to the world. Let’s move out of the mindset of the attractional model for church growth – waiting for the community to find us – and move into a more missional model of church growth.

Join the Urban Initiative Ministries of the Atlantic Northeast District on Saturday, May 6, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. here at Lancaster Church of the Brethren. The keynote speaker is Chris Johnson, founder of Divine Unity Community Church based in Harrisonburg, VA. Chris has a Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary and is ordinated in the New Branch Baptist Church. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. Having experience in preaching the Word both domestically and internationally, Pastor Chris holds a great passion for seeing the spiritually dead alive, revived, and actively serving.

Workshops will be led throughout the day by Belita Mitchell, Lead Pastor of Harrisburg First CoB; Joel Peña, Senior Pastor of Alpha & Omega Church; Brian Messler, Senior Pastor of the Ephrata CoB; Ron Tilley, the Executive Director of bcmPEACE; and Cherelle Johnson, Certified Life & Leadership Coach.

EARLY registration (before 4/9/17) cost is $30/person (groups of 3 or more from same church $25/person). Late registration (4/10/17 or after) cost is $40/person with no group rate available. For more information or to register, contact Kelly Bernstein at 367-4730 or go to www.ane-cob.com.
