Chapel Condition Update

Chapel Condition Update

Today (Tuesday 5/30) the Property Ministry Team (PMT) with recovery specialists from PaulDavis Inc, continued with the air cleaning process and sealed off the hallways and doorways immediately adjacent to the damaged Chapel.  Our recovery specialists will commence full wipe down of the office and other areas adjacent to the Chapel on Wednesday morning.

Testing results are expected sometime Wednesday for the composition of the Chapel ceiling material and other debris that fell when the ceiling was pulled down to gain access to the fire at the ceiling light fixture.
On Wednesday, with the Chapel sealed off and the adjacent area cleaned, some groups plan to use the Family Life Center and choir room areas.  These area are at the very opposite end of the church from the Chapel.  All persons using these areas will be briefed with the latest information about the Chapel fire and clean up conditions at the time of their gathering.
There are meetings scheduled with our insurance company on Thursday with cleaning and restoration of the Chapel to commence immediately thereafter.
The temporary roof repair is holding during these rain filled days since the fire on Sunday.  Permanent roof repair is to take place early the week of June 4.
Thank you to all who have helped in managing the needs of the church since the Chapel fire on Sunday – Jay Enders, Paul Groff, Doug Wiker, Jeff Rill, Steve Focht, Doug Lunger and Troy Nace (and apology to anyone I cannot recall). And thank you to the many who expressed their care and their prayers.  Greatly appreciated.
