Mission Moment
LCOB has been working diligently in obedience to Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). During the last several months LCOB has organized three trips to Nigeria. Some of the leaders of the Nigeria Church of the Brethren (EYN) have expressed great appreciation for LCOB’s love and dedication in helping them both financially and through the work camps. Engineer Ayuba Gwani, stated that work campers in Nigeria have been a special blessing in many areas within Nigeria’s Brethren community. He explained: “The presence of our brothers and sisters from the USA brings a lot of joy and encouragement to our fellow believers. When our people see how some brothers and sisters sacrifice themselves by leaving their comfort, and risking their lives by placing themselves in harm’s way, it is a true demonstration of love for God and for their fellow believers. Our people’s attitudes have been transformed in such mighty and powerful ways that we have observed an increase in attendance, offerings, enthusiasm, and willingness to volunteer in church’s activities. It is rejoicing and uplifting to have other believers who have traveled across the planet to worship alongside with us.”
Coming from an EYN leader, these remarks are a testimony that God is touching many lives through LCOB as it organizes international work camps and other projects.
