Worship Series for November: It’s the End of the World as We know It!
Some of you will recognize the reference to the band, REM in this series title and know that the rest of the line is a positive one! We (Traditional and Morning Psalm worship services) are looking at three scripture texts in a row about “end times” in the Biblical sense. The overarching message is one of hope because we trust in a God who keeps reaching out to us with renewal, love, and faithfulness. The original audience of our scriptures was facing persecution and difficulty. We also face transition, change, and difficult times – as individuals and as the Body of Christ. This series should be an encouragement to all of us as we move toward the season of Advent. After all, it’s the End of the World as we Know it and Christ is King!
