Traditional Worship Easter Sunday Schedule

Easter Sunday is a time of great celebration as we remember the resurrection of our Lord! This year, Easter is on April 21, and the Traditional worship services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. will both be in the Sanctuary. Pastor Bob Kettering will be preaching in the Sanctuary on the topic “Women at the Tomb: Witnessing and Pro-claiming.”

Music plays a big part in our celebration, and this year our worship will be enhanced by guest trumpeters Ken Laudermilch and Michael Evanco. They will be joining organist Margaret Marsch and the Chancel Choir in the opening prelude and in four different choral acts of praise. The Carillon Bell Choir also will participate, ringing an arrangement of Jesus Christ is Risen Today.

As is our long-standing tradition, each service will end with the sing-ing of the Hallelujah Chorus from George Frederick Handel’s Messiah. Members of the congregation are invited to join the choir in the chancel to sing this beloved anthem. And Margaret will conclude the service with Charles Marie Widor’s beloved classic, the Toccata from Symphony No. 5.

Our hearts will be thrilled, and our souls blessed as we worship the Lord together!
