Celebration of the Global Church

We have designated the weekend of November 17 & 18 as a celebration of the Global Church at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren. The weekend will begin with an international meal in the Family Life Center being served at 5:00 on Saturday. Sign-up will be available, through Diana Wiker, to share a favorite international dish. Following the meal a Starlight Tea Concert will take place in the sanctuary at 7:00 featuring The Sound of Brazilian Classical Music with flautist, Guilherme Andrea and pianist, Gianne Ge Zhu.
Guest preachers for the Sunday morning worship services will feature Ilexene & Kayla Alphonse, Church of the Brethren pastors from Miami, FL, who recently served as Church of the Brethren Mission Coordinators in Haiti.
An evening celebration will take place in the sanctuary at 7:00 on Sunday’s the 14 Church of the Brethren congregations in the Lancaster South Section will gather together to worship and hear a message by Ilexene & Kayla Alphonse. A large massed choir from the churches of the Lancaster South Section of the Church of the Brethren will sing under the direction of Emery DeWitt. A special offering will be received for the mission work in Haiti.
