Seeking First the Kingdom

The weekend of November 4 & 5 marks the date of the 2nd Annual Spiritual Renewal Retreat. The Rev. Belita Mitchell, pastor of Harrisburg First Church of the Brethren and former moderator of the Church of the Brethren’s Annual Conference, will be the keynote speaker at two worship services on Saturday, November 4, and again at a combined worship service on Sunday, November 5. Rev. Mitchell’s Saturday morning address is entitled, “Radical Hospitality” and the afternoon address is entitled, “Passionate Worship.” Sunday’s worship sermon is entitled “The Mind of Christ.” All worship services and Seeking Sessions will be based on Romans 12 and the retreat theme of Different Gifts, One Body.

Randy Riggs will present a Seeking Session on Saturday afternoon. His topic will be “Using & Developing our Spiritual Gifts for the Church.” The Rev. Dr. Randy Riggs is the Lancaster County Council of Churches Board of Directors President and retired Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.
