Community Melting Pot Festival

Saturday, August 5, 2017
10:00 am

The Cross Cultural Connections Committee is planning an event not to be missed this summer! The Community Melting Pot Festival will be held on Saturday, August 5, in the church parking lot and surrounding lawn.

All friends and neighbors are welcome to the church between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. There will be FREE FOOD (hot dogs, donuts, ice-cream and more), music selections from the multi-cultural ministries, and ethnic foods that represent the many nationalities and backgrounds of people within the congregation. There will be a variety of activities for children including pony rides, games, and barrel train rides.

Various ministries within the church are encouraged to showcase their programs. Volunteers from these ministries should be considering plans for “carnival type” games, activities, or displays to engage those in attendance.

The purpose of this event is to welcome neighbors and community members and for them to get to know the members and the many ministries in the Lancaster Church of the Brethren.

Please contact Donna Lunger 717-917-2426 or Monroe Good 717-391-3614 for more information about hosting a stand.
