The 4th Annual Spiritual Renewal weekend theme will be Living Simply in a Complex World. To help us understand the complexity of simplicity, we have engaged two nationally known speakers: Ron Sider and Shane Claiborne.

On Saturday, March 21, keynote speaker Ron Sider will bring the opening message of Christians & Poverty: What Does the Bible Tell Us? His afternoon message is If Jesus Is Lord: Loving Our Enemies in an Age of Violence. Ron is an ordained minister in the Brethren in Christ and Mennonite Churches; Professor of Theology, Holistic Ministry and Public Policy at Palmer Seminary of Eastern University; and author of Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger (Christianity Today’s top 100 books in religion in the 20th century).

Shane Claiborne, prominent speaker, activist, and best-selling author; founder of The Simple Way and leader of Red Letter Christians; leads us on Sunday, March 22, at 9:00 a.m. for an Adult Sunday school class in the Family Life Center on the subject Economics of Rebirth. At 10:15 a.m. Shane’s message, Another Way of Doing Life, will be live streamed from the sanctuary to the Family Life Center and Chapel. Note that we will not be having a combined worship.
