Traditional Music Celebration Service

10:15 am

The Chancel Choir and Carillon Bell Choir, plus guest instrumentalists Mark Yingling and the Lancaster Brass Quintet, will join in the Sanctuary at the 10:15 a.m. service on May 19 for the annual Music Celebration service. The theme this year is GLORIA! With the entire service centered around praising and worshiping God!

The service will open with Arlen Clarke’s festival anthem, All People That on Earth Do Dwell, based on a hymn tune by Thomas Tallis. The Carillon Bell Choir will ring an energetic work entitled Gloria by Kevin McChesney. The centerpiece of the service will be a setting of the Latin Gloria text by renowned composer Daniel Gawthrop. This work is brand new, having been published in 2014, and it is challenging for the singers and rewarding for listeners! The instrumentalist guests will join in on all these works.

Pastor Bob Kettering will be preaching in the service. Be sure to attend and bring friends as we celebrate the God who gives us life and breath!
