Croquet on the Lawn. Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., invites all comers to play croquet and other lawn games Sunday afternoons from 2-4 p.m. on the church lawn, beginning August 9. We’ll play six-player, nine-wicket croquet that’s similar to the backyard game that many grew up with. If croquet isn’t your thing, feel free to bring your favorite lawn game (unless it’s lawn darts or throwing axes). Corn hole, ladder golf, frisbee games, etc., are welcome. In light of the coronavirus, we’ll begin the games with a ceremonial application of hand sanitizer and then be conscious of keeping our distance.
