Brethren Disaster Relief Auction
Brethren Disaster Relief Auction will be held at Lebanon Valley Expo Center on Friday and Saturday September 27 and 28. This event is sponsored by the Atlantic Northeast and Southern PA Districts of the Church of the Brethren. All proceeds go to the Glory of God and help fund the Disaster Relief Ministries. Many areas of the United States have suffered severe damage by many storms and flooding this past year and they need our help. What better way to support a very worthy cause than to spend the day at the relief auction. You can enjoy good food and renew many old acquaintances, as well as volunteer a few hours of your time to make a difference in many people’s lives. Save the date and don’t miss out on this opportunity to serve and help those who have suffered hardships.
Your first opportunity to volunteer will be on Thursday, September 26, at our church kitchen, where we will bake 50 to 60 apple pies for the auction. If you would like to help in the kitchen rolling pie crust and assembling the pies, contact Donna Lunger at 717-917-2426. We also need help paring apples. If you would be able to help contact Dave Creighton at 717-397-7267. We usually start at 8:30 a.m. and are done by noon.
