Education Opportunities
Sunday School
Adult Sunday School offers our congregants educational opportunities that touch on a variety of biblical and relevant topics. Classes are held on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. and are open to everyone. Although some are ongoing, new members are always welcome.
Wednesday Night Live
Wednesday Night Live is an evening of fellowship and learning. A simple meal is served at 5:30 p.m. in the Worship & Event Center. Classes on a variety of topics are offered at 6:30 p.m. for 10 Sundays in the Fall and 10 in the Winter/Spring. Specific dates are listed on the Events page.

Prayer, Study, or Special Interest Groups
Wednesday Prayer Breakfast
Time: Wednesdays, 8:00 –9:00 a.m.
Location: Room 163
Wednesday Prayer Breakfast is a time of simple breakfast, prayers, facilitated meditation, and exploring thoughts concerning key scriptures. The Group has an active ministry of sharing special prayer requests for people with illness, loss, hardships and joys; followed by sending out prayers cards as witness to such prayers said for others. Men and women of all ages are welcome to attend. The Group meets at 6:45 a.m. for pastries and coffee, followed by a time of prayer, mediation, and discussions at 7:00 a.m. For more information, contact Pastor Misty Wintsch.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
A number of our crafty members create prayer shawls. Compassion and the love of knitting/crocheting are combined into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy.
Blessings are prayed into every stitch. The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient and continues those prayers throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way to comfort people facing illness or other challenges.
LCOB is blessed to have several members who create prayer shawls. If you would like more information or are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact Dee Zimmerman.
Fellowship Groups

Climbers
Climbers group includes men and women, ages 60 and over. The group meets socially at the church, in homes, and at various functions each month except August. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for fellowship, to share concerns, and to assist with service projects.
Homebuilders
Homebuilders is a group of men and women, mostly in their 70’s who gather every 4–6 weeks for social, spiritual, and intellectual camaraderie and occasional involvement in community service.
Living Faith
Living Faith is a group of men and women in the 45–60 age range who meet occasionally throughout the year for social purposes.
New Directions
New Directions is a group of men and women in the 40–50+ age range who meet occasionally for educational purposes and fellowship.
Pathfinders
Pathfinders is a group of men and women in the 50+ age range. The group incorporates social gatherings with their passion for completing Church World Service Hygiene Kits.
Seekers
Seekers is a social group that meets irregularly for planned fellowship and group activities. Age range is roughly 50–65. Seekers also have a prayer chain.
Women’s Fellowship
Women’s Fellowship organizes social events and fund-raising projects that benefit both the women of the church and the community. Open to all women.
