Plans Underway for August 24 International Fun Day
Plans are well underway for the fourth annual International Fun Day on Saturday, August 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. As in years past, children will receive a passport to be stamped or stickered at each “country” they visit. When their passport is filled, they can return to the LCOB Ambassador’s table for a surprise.
So far, 10 countries are confirmed with the potential for at least six more. Marie Bachman’s Our World quilt will be on display along with the expansive notebook that tells about its details.
There will be face painting and a bounce house for children and good music provided by Matt Wheeler to bring the atmosphere. A hot dog lunch will be provided by the Witness & Welcome Team and cold water will be available for everyone as well.
Dee Zimmerman is creating gift baskets as door prizes for adult attendees. The winners of those must be present at 12:45.
Greg Bachman will welcome guests and offer them a chance at one of four $50 raffle prizes. Those prizes will be awarded at 12:55 and those winners need not be present.
