Outdoor Service & Church Picnic Set for September 15
In conjunction with our annual church picnic on September 15, this year the Worship Team is planning an outdoor worship service on the east parking lot of the church grounds, beginning at 10:15 a.m. Please plan to attend and invite friends and neighbors.
The service will include a variety of music and a “fruity” message by Pastor Don Fitzkee that will introduce the fall “Spirit Fruit” sermon series and advocate for a positive faith that thinks about, teaches, and practices Christian virtues.
Seating will be provided, but worshipers also can bring their own lawn chairs for both the worship service and the picnic. Following worship, the Witness & Welcome Team will serve a picnic meal. Those who can are asked to bring a cold salad or dessert (items with no heating required) for the meal. Afternoon activities include an ice cream truck, face painting, and Bingo, with door prizes for adults.
Set-up for the worship service will provide some shaded seating. In case of bad weather, both the service and the picnic will be held in the Worship & Event Center. The outdoor service will be the only service that Sunday. Sunday school will meet as usual.
