Three Breakfasts Coming Up

In addition to all the regular Wednesday Prayer Breakfasts, the church has three Saturday breakfast events coming up in November and December. (I guess most of us eat breakst every day, so why not?) All will be held in the Worship & Event Center. To help keep them straight, here are all three:

November 15.  Friedlinde (Kratz) Ebersole will tell her story at a continental breakfast on Saturday, November 15, at 9:00 a.m. Born in Yugoslavia to ethnically German parents, Friedlinde found herself living in a refugee camp in Austria when she was five. A member of the first refugee family that our congregation assisted in the 1950s, Friedlinde will tell the story of her family’s journey from post-World War II Europe to Lancaster in her talk “How It All Got Started.” Hosted by the Women’s Fellowship, the event is open to everyone.

December 6. Grab a girlfriend and an inexpensive, wrapped white elephant gift from your “re-gifting” drawer and join the Women’s Fellowship for a Women’s Christmas Breakfast on Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. The morning will begin with devotions followed by a light breakfast, Christmas music, and a game. Please sign up in the Gathering Place by November 30 and make a note if you need childcare.

December 13. The annual All-Church Christmas Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at 9:00 a.m. In addition to good food and fellowship, some creative activities are in the works that might remind us how much we do—and don’t—know about the Christmas story.
