Combined Service to Focus on Beginnings
The entire church will gather in the Sanctuary for one combined worship service on Sunday, February 15, at 10:15 a.m. Seven transferring members will be welcomed into the church family, three young people will be baptized, and District Executive Pete Kontra will install Nancy Hess as co-pastor. Following the service, all are invited to a reception in the Gathering Place to greet new members.
Pastor Don Fitzkee’s meditation topic is “Just the Beginning,” based on Philippians 1:3-11. Pastors will lead worship, and the service will include a variety of music. Special music includes selections from the Children’s Choir and the anthem “Walk in Light” (Karen Marrolli), sung by the Chancel Choir, accompanied by violinist Kaleb Lambert and pianist Margaret Marsch. Carolyn Fitzkee will direct both choirs. Interpretation will be provided for Spanish speakers via a headset system.
