October Starlight Tea Concert to Feature Seay, Corley

The Starlight Tea concert series will feature internationally acclaimed pianist Maria Thompson Corley, joined by tenor Christyan Seay, on Saturday, October 26, at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. They will perform a variety of music, including some of Corley’s arrangements, classical pieces, hymns, and African music. 

Maria Thompson Corley earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in piano performance from The Juilliard School and has performed as a solo and collaborative pianist in the US and abroad. A sought-after composer, her songs, choral and instrumental works, and arrangements have been commissioned by renowned performers and institutions and have been studied, performed, and recorded by musicians in the US and abroad.

Christyan Seay grew up in Central Pennsylvania and is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. Active in recital, oratorio, and opera, Mr. Seay performs extensively throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond, including concert venues in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Europe. He has performed with regional orchestras and opera companies and as a guest soloist for the national conferences of the Moravian Church and the Church of the Brethren. He also has appeared with internationally acclaimed organist Diane Bish, performing Bish’s hymn arrangements. 

This free concert series is supported by patrons and offerings received at concerts. Tea and cookies will be served following the concert. The concert will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person.
