Sunday School Begins New Quarter
A new Sunday school quarter begins this week, which makes it a good time to start attending. Adult options include a new God Conversations video series in the Chapel, along with the ongoing Guide for Biblical Studies and Wired Word classes in English and a continuing book study in Spanish:
- God Conversations. Chapel. Katrina Bridgeman and Pastor Nancy Hess lead a video series taught by Australia-based international speaker and author Rev. Dr. Tania Harris on how to hear God’s voice. The seven-week “God Conversations” course will run from March 2 through April 13.
- Guide for Biblical Studies. Room 162-3. Variety of teachers. This class uses the Church of the Brethren-produced Guide for Biblical Studies curriculum to study the international Sunday School Lesson each week. “Costly Sacrifice is the theme for this quarter, and Herb Smith, a retired Philosophy & Religion professor from McPherson (Kan.) College is the lesson writer. Pastor Don Fitzkee teaches this week’s lesson on “A Kingdom of Priests, a Holy Nation” from Exodus 19.
- The Wired Word. Room 170. Teacher, Barry Plaskon. The online The Wired Word curriculum each week pulls an event from the news, providing a summary of the event, big questions related to the topic, relevant Scriptures, and discussion questions.
- Nueva Vida Unidad. Room 201-202. Marisor Díaz continues a study of the Spanish edition of the Carl Krames Bible study Fundamentos para una vida cristiana victoriosa (Foundations for the Victorious Christian Life: Bible Studies).
