Youth Auction Planned
On Saturday, February 18, we will be trying a new type of fundraiser to help defray the cost of summer activities and work camps. The February 18 event, which will be held in the Family Life Center, will be an “auction” – a type that you have probably never experienced.
In addition to handmade articles, some created by youth and other church members, experiences and services will also be on the auction block. For example, someone could bid on the services of a group of youth to spring clean their home. Or, an amateur chef in the congregation could come to your home and prepare a multi-course feast for you and your guests. You don’t weave baskets or turn wooden bowls? No problem! Why not create a gift basket around a theme and contribute it to be auctioned?
