Ravel Trio—”Melange of Love”
On Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 7:00 pm the Starlight Tea Concert Series is proud to present The Ravel Trio, a piano trio composed of cellist Nancy Baun, pianist Daniel Lau and violinist and violist Simon Maurer. Hailed internationally as “Radiating an American spontaneity and a European elegance” by the Swiss La Liberte and “Ardent performance” by the Baltimore Sun, the Ravel Trio captivates audiences with its conversational concert style and musical passion.
The Trio maintains a schedule that includes frequent tours to Switzerland, in addition to recitals and collaborative performances in the Mid Atlantic Region. The Bethlehem, PA Morning Call wrote, “Superb ensemble and unflagging energy and verve…. I cannot begin to describe the delight I found in [their] playing.”
Their concert for this Valentine’s weekend event is titled “Melange of Love” – a wonderful idea for a Valentine’s date night! Why not combine the Friendship Dinner at 5:00 with this concert dedicated to love! As with all Starlight Tea concerts, admission is free, with a free-will offering taken.
