On, Saturday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m. the Starlight Tea Concert Series will welcome Terra Voce, a flute/cello duo known for lively and creative programs combining the diverse and the unexpected. Cellist Andrew Gabbert and flutist Elizabeth Brightbill thrill audiences with their virtuosity, engaging, conversational style of presentation, and their genre-expanding programs that explore a wide range of musical styles, traditions, and cross-cultural influence. Contrary to what most would expect from a flute and cello, their arrangements test the limits of what is possible with just two instruments.

In addition to numerous performances on college campuses and community concert series, Terra Voce has appeared on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, in the Christ Chapel Chamber Series at New York City’s Riverside Church, and as finalists in the National Flute Association’s Chamber Music Competition. Their CD The Frost Is All Over was selected as an “Editor’s Pick” on CD Baby.

Several members of the LCOB congregation heard Terra Voce at the 2015 NOAC conference and returned with enthusiastic reports of their excellent concert. We are thrilled that they have agreed to be part of our Starlight Tea series!
