March 2 Starlight Tea to Feature F & M Chamber Singers

Our congregation’s Starlight Tea Concert Series will host the Franklin & Marshall College Chamber Singers on Saturday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m.

Directed by Dr. William Wright, the Chamber Singers are a select vocal ensemble of about 20 voices, chosen by audition. The program will feature Antonio Vivaldi’s setting of the Magnificat, additional works spanning five centuries, and several selections from masters of the African-American spiritual tradition. Much of the program will be a cappella.

Dr. Wright has been Choral Director at Franklin & Marshall since 2001. He also serves as Chorusmaster of the Lancaster Symphony Chorus, Director of Music and Arts at Saint James Episcopal Church, and Resident Conductor of the Pennsylvania Philharmonic. As conductor and pianist, he has performed in 27 countries.

Tea and cookies will be served following the concert. The free Starlight Tea series is supported by patrons and offerings received at concerts.
