Campaign Donations Now Being Sought

At the March 17 All-Church Meeting the congregation approved the $350,000 Maintaining & Sustaining Capital Campaign to attend to the church’s facility needs. Moderator Josh Bashore-Steury reported that Board Chair Dave Hosler already had received 15 verbal commitments totaling $178,900 in the “quiet phase” of the campaign—more than halfway to the goal. Now it’s our turn.

Campaign brochures have been placed in church mailboxes and information racks. The campaign is seeking one-time or multi-year donations (2024-2026) to fund replacement of the rear Sanctuary windows and other potential energy efficiency projects ($100,000), steeple restoration ($100,000), and replenishing the capital improvements reserve ($150,000), which was largely depleted in 2023. The Sanctuary windows and steeple restoration will be the first projects to be completed.

Church members and friends are invited to prayerfully consider support of the campaign above and beyond regular giving to the church’s Plan of Ministry. Please indicate your intentions on the response slip in the brochure and return the slip by the end of June (if possible) by placing it in an offering plate or donation box at the church or by mailing to the church office. Donations can be given in the same way—please indicate “Campaign” in the memo line of your check or on the offering envelope. Contact Board Chair Dave Hosler with any questions.
