How we reach out

“For the glory of God and my neighbors’ good.” This two-part phrase, turning us both toward God in devotion and toward our neighbors in service, adequately describes the church’s understanding of the nature of Christian faith.

We live out that faith in community and while that community may begin within the congregation, the outreach ministries provided by LCOB are vital not only to our local community but also extend to our community of brothers and sisters around the world. Some of these ministries are long term and ongoing service projects, while others may originate as a response to an immediate personal need or world event in which LCOB feels led to respond.

Jesus went about saving the world by serving its people. Because we believe in His message, we continuously seek to do the same.
